Area set aside for oil production in ANWR, should the congressional ban ever be lifted. |

| These two images are photos taken during summer of the 2,000-acre area set aside for oil production in the Alaskan Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR), should the congressional ban on such oil exploration ever be lifted. As you can see, this part of ANWR is a barren wasteland. These 2,000 acres are equivalent to just one-ninth of the land area used by the DFW Airport. On this area alone, America can produce at least 1 million barrels of oil per day, significantly reducing the tightness of oil supply in today’s markets. |
